01
Adoption Strategy

Champion Design Thinking (DT) within the enterprise by building an adoption strategy and framework.

My adoption strategic planning consisted of:
-
Research of current adoption strategies
-
Interviewing and facilitating sessions
-
Creating a roadmap for execution
-
Implementing adoption strategy
Through this discovery work I created and implemented:
-
Design Thinking case studies to increase visibility and value of DT
-
These case studies show how DT is being used in it’s many phases, not just in the discovery phase
-
-
Design Thinking Community of Practice Committee (DTCoPC) to focus on a Design Thinking action plan for our DT community
-
Culture questionnaire to measure and understand adoption of DT within the enterprise
02
Design Thinking
Community of Practice
When synthesizing the adoption strategy research I found that there was a need to improve the outcomes and engagement of our current Design Thinking Community of Practice (DTCoP).
The key to the adoption of DT within the enterprise is the empowerment and needs of fellow design thinkers. It's important to feed those that have been trained to level up their Design Thinking skills and build confidence in their practice. I built a Design Thinking Community of Practice Committee (DTCoPC) that was used to increase adoption of Design Thinking within the enterprise and feed the community with .

I created the:
-
Mission & Vision
-
Our guiding framework
-
Defined roles of committee members
-
Recruited members
-
Lead weekly meetings to grow and build expertise of committee
-
Curation of DT continuous learning events
-
Developed DTCoP communications plan
Additionally, I leveraged our UX Circle of Excellence (CoE) SharePoint site and built a DTCoP SharePoint page to create visibility of the purpose of our DTCoP and to bring in more individuals to our continuous learning events. This has been expanded to include additional site pages of the DTCoPC and a page to highlight our DT events.
